GA Veterans state park, Cordele, GA

GA Veterans state park, Cordele, GA . Nice campground and they also have a small military museum and a golf course here. Camped here so we could take the SAM shortline train from Cordele to Plains, GA. The train ride itself was pretty bland, but the stops were interesting. From the train we got to visit and have lunch in Americus, and then headed to Plains to tour Jimmy Carter's boyhood home, and Billy Carter's gas station. Also visited Andersonville civil war prison on the way back. Need to reserve early if you want a lake site.
